Great Monday!

What a great Monday it was. I finished a very hard project and was a little late on delivery but got it there. I also just realized that next time I need to take a picture and put it on here!I am still learning so much about this technology. These chair covers were very intricate for outdoor chairs. It is always worth so much to see a very happy client!

Another weekend down!

Well, it is another weekend down. But if you are in high school and a senior, that means you are closer to graduation! I spend part of my weekend with my senior and we were at Ole Miss where he will be attending next year. We got a tour of those dorm rooms and boy can we do some wonders with those! Give us a chance and we can give you a great experience for your dorm room. We are always thinking of new and creative ideas and this weekend helped even more. Follow us further on www.dormsuitedorm.com and see our model rroms as we complete them. We are excited about doing model rooms for not only Ole Miss but also College of Charleston . Presently we have Samford University on the site where our premier model is!
Being in the college atmosphere was great to see so many young people and knowing that they are working toward their dreams! That is why it is so important to dream and definetly DREAM BIG!!!!!!!!!

Gearing up for a very busy time!

Well, we are getting ready for a very busy time at Dorm Suite Dorm! The girls are out in full force, looking at what they want for their rooms. We are also putting together trunk shows in the southeast. IF you are in the south east we would love to put on a trunk show for you! I have had a lot of girls ask exactly what is a trunk show? It is a party! We come with a lot of our bedding and also our fabrics for you to choose from. We can get you signed up for the dream/gift registry and help you let your friends and family know about what you want. All you have to do is supply the house and your friends to come to the party , we do the rest! How easy is that?! And let me tell you , it is a lot of fun! The more the merrier!

Back to Reality!

I guess this is the hardest part of vacation, packing up! I leave today to go back to reality, and a very yippy dog. I have found that having a day inbetween fun and reality is much better and easier to accept. I am very lucky to do what I love and am passionate about. What would it be like to be working on something that you don't enjoy? That is what I wish I could get through to the college students today, DO WHAT YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT! I loved what I majored in but I wasn't passionate about it. I was a nurse for 6 years before getting to the point of having a business that could sustain us. It is hard at the age of 18 to be deciding lifes choices but think about what you do love to do and see if you can make a major out of it, don't settle. Do what you love!

New Dorm Design for a New Year: Local Birmingham Design House Dorm Suite Dorm Now Offers Complete Custom Bedding for College Coeds

(Birmingham, AL) Dorm design house Dorm Suite Dorm (www.dormsuitedorm.com), now in its second year of operation, has expanded its offering of dorm bedding and accessories for college coeds. At Dorm Suite Dorm, students can visit the online shop and design studio to create one-of-a-kind sheets, pillows, duvet covers, coverlets, bed shirts, dust ruffles, bulletin boards and curtains from dozens of fabrics, featuring the latest colors and patterns found in current home and fashion design. Items can also be monogrammed for further customization.
In its first year, Dorm Suite Dorm offered six premium collections of college bedding and accessories, created by founder and design director Sheri Corey. Corey, who served DSD customers around the world in that first year of operation, found that her most popular items were those that allowed for personalization, such as the selection of accent colors or monogramming.
With this knowledge, she modified her business model and product mix to better serve her customers, offering fabrics doused in saturated color combinations like chocolate brown and preppy pink, citrus orange and sparkling turquoise, springy kiwi and crisp white. Patterns feature oversized and petite houndstooth, modern toile and updated damask.
Signature details continue to be a part of the Dorm Suite Dorm brand. Dorm Suite Dorm pieces include such custom flourishes as hand-covered buttons dotting duvets, contrasting layers peeking from bed skirt pleats, and piping, fringe and trims finishing coverlets and pillows.
With college acceptance letters arriving daily, Corey and her Dorm Suite Dorm team ready for the onslaught of giddy college coeds.
Girls can register their wish list and preferences on the company website’s Dream Registry. This allows family and friends to purchase DSD gift certificates to give as graduation, birthday and going away gifts.
Customers can also earn DSD Dollars towards merchandise by hosting a trunk show for friends or signing up as a Suitemate, a word-of-mouth, grass roots marketing effort. Information on both programs is also found on the website.

Spring Break Mania

We are in Florida for spring break and the excitement is great! I am here with my 2 sons and one of those is a senior in high school. He will be attending Ole Miss next year. This is our last year for all of us to be together because I know next year he will be here with his college friends instead. It just seems that I was on college spring break myself. I hope you all enjoy the time you have this year and for the four years to come.
Where will you be going for spring break this year? This is early for us but it is warm already in the panhandle of Florida. I hope you all have a safe and fun time for your spring break!

Okay, this is new to me. I have a blog on my website but they say you need to blog or your business won't exist in 3-5 years! Wow the internet is really changing the way we look at things.
My blog on my website, I ask for opinions and ideas and get no response. I don't know what I am doing wrong but hopefully I can get some with this one!
My sister started a blog about 4 years ago. She was living in NJ and she has always been more advanced then I am. She used to tell me I needed a website too. I thought she was crazy! Now I not only have a website, I have 2 and I am blogging in 2 different places! Do I really have that much to say? I will find out!
